G is for Gastroenterologist

Here's to hoping that something will turn up; this destruction is not all of my own doing.

So...it's only been two years. Oops.

Sadly, I have no clever excuse, no anecdote, no slip signed by my parents to confirm that I had a valid reason for my absence. The usual excuses - life getting in the way, crack-ups and break downs, academia, work, enlightenment, existential crises, traffic, and natural disasters - are a tad bit cliche, so I shall refrain from using them.

It actually feels a bit scary to write again. Strange as that sounds, it's true. It also feels brave. I have not been able to write, at least not prolifically as I once did, for a very. long. time. And since no one is going to check this blog (I don't blame you, it's been forever!), I can state, to no one in particular, that despite doing well in my highly ironic academic pursuits, I've once again fallen waist-deep in a hole. It was an accident; I didn't jump. Sigh.

That is all. Happier updates to follow, if only to read for myself :)
